Jefree Star Highlighter Review

I love highlight, like so so much, its honestly my favourite part of my make up, so I’ve been trying some different ones out, I used the MUA one for a while before switching between that and the one in the Sleek palette that comes with a bronzer and blush. Since I have tried some high end ones starting with the Urban Decay one which I wasn’t a huge fan off because it was literally just glitter and barely even showed up on your face.

Having brought the Jefree Star Liquid Lipsticks and having really loved the products, I decided to try the highlighter. I purchased it in Princess Cut because it really stood out to me and a lot of the reviews I read had used Princess Cut as well.

I was not disappointed by this at all. Its huge, like literally bigger than the palm of my hand by a bit (I have really small hands so I’d say its about palm size give or take a bit) and it is so so gorgeous!! I apply this with a Spectrum fan brush and I find that its really build able and isn’t overly pigmented. Its pigmented enough that fine brushed pick up product but not the point that its too much and you have to knock some off the brush before applying.

I personally like my highlight to be bright but not over the top like some people so somewhere in the middle. I find that with two layers you get a really gentle shine thats noticeable in light but not out of light, so perfect if you prefer a more subtle highlight. I tend to put four to five layers on because I like it to really glow when the light hits it. This is my go to highlight and I am in total love with this product. I’m looking at getting another one in another shade as well as some of this other products like the eye shadow palette.

Jefree Star Liquid Lipstick Review

I’ve been wanting to get some more lip products for a while having been using the same few MAC lipsticks. I also wanted to try some different products that people have been raving about, so I looked into Kylie Lipkits and was set on getting one or two until I saw how much it costs to get them over here in the UK because of customs, and I can’t justify spending ยฃ40 on a lipkit right now so I went for a different option and had a look on BeautyBay for Jefree Star liquid lipsticks because I know their well reviewed.

The three shades that I purchased wasย No Tea No Shade which is a metallic colour, Androgynyย a purple-ish shade with grey undertonesย and Unicorn Blood a dark red with some brown undertones. ย So far I’ve used Androgyny twice and tested the other two but not worn them for a day, but from the Androgyny shade that I used, I can see why everyone raves about them.

The applicators nice and easy giving a smooth and even coverage that matts out in about ten seconds depending how thick you layer it. I tested this on a day that I went out with my boyfriend shopping and for lunch and it’s flawless. Lasted the whole day and I only re-applied it once because it was starting to fade a little bit in the middle after I’d had a coffee. But it wasn’t a noticeable fade and didn’t really need touching up but I did it anyway. I found this is a really durable liquid lipstick that is really tough and stays on for a long period of time as well as through eating and drinking, in fact its taking it off that I find a bit tougher, you have to use a made up wipe or something similar to get it off your lips, but it does leave a slight stain so again if you over line your lips with this, it will stain the skin and will need a thin layer of foundation or concealer to cover it up if you want it gone. I also found it wears off middle outwards which in a way I find more helpful because then you don’t have to spend ages making sure the lines are perfect at the edge, you just put some more on the middle and you’re good to go.

I’m a hundred percent going to buy more of these when I next get paid because their amazing! I also want to try out some of his other products as well to see if their of a similar standard.
